wedding wednesday: the venue
We held our wedding at Our Place. Not to be confused with our home, Our Place is a loooooovely venue at the top of Willunga Hill. We picked Our Place because it matched our values. Anna and Andy (the lovely-inside-and-out owners) grow their own veggies, keep chickens for eggs, raise animals for meat, cure meat at their site, and where possible, source other ingredients (olive oil, flour, nuts) and wine locally. They even have their own pond in which they breed trout for the seafood dishes!
Anna and Andy went the extra mile in every way- Anna made our wedding cake as a personal challenge! Kym and I could not have picked a more perfect place to hold our wedding or more perfect couple to host it.
Our Place is open for Sunday lunches with an Italian-home style feast, where you are fed deliciousness for three to four hours (until you POP). Anna and Andy also have their own gourmet food business, Australian Happy Foods, which you can find weekly at the Willunga Farmers Market.
