Illustration made with scraper board for my design studies. I chose to illustrate Julia Gillard because over her time as PM, she really grew on me. She showed dignity, grace and self respect in the way she managed the media and responded to attitudes directed at her that aimed to demean women.
Julia now has a position at the University of Adelaide and I'm keen to gatecrash a lecture when I get the chance!
You're quite the artist Kate. Couldn't agree with you more about Julia - I'd be keen to crash a lecture too.
